Here's the gateway of India. A photo right from our hotel window.

A closer view of the gateway during the daytime.

Me and Sang in front of the Gateway of India. It must be very early since no one is around.

Here's the Taj hotel (where the terrorists attacked). We stayed right next to it. The Gateway to India is right behind me. To the right you can see some barricades to the main entrance of the hotel.

Here's our hotel from the outside. I can see our window!

Bobby hangin with some cows on the street.

Sang pointing out one of the many slums. Actually, all of Mumbai is a slum.

Closer view of a typical slum.

And the beautiful water below. Who's up for swimming?

Bobby walking through a slum market.

Random little temple.

Cows all over the place.

More of the slum market.

Lot's of goats just chillin around, too.

Sang and Bobby in our 'living room'. Right outside the window is the Gateway to India.

Bad photo, but here's the memorable room.

The hotel staff was extremely unhelpful. Oh, here's the foyer.

And the old school bathroom. We figured out how to get the hot water working on the last day there.

The (massive) hallway outside our room.

The old-fashioned elevator complete with bellboy. Everything in Mumbai seemed really old and antique.

Zubin and Kaynaz at some pre-wedding party.

Here's the crew.

Zubin took us the Chowpatti beach at night. A mini-ghetto-style carnival. Here's a ring toss game built right into the sand. We payed 5 cents to play and one a bar of soap!

Famous kebab restaurant around the corner from our hotel.

Signs like this all over the place.

One day we took or Mumbai city tour. Here's the itinerary.

Dhobi Ghat - a slum that turned into a massive open-air washing operation.

I'm not sure how clean these clothes actually get, though.

But it is pretty big.

We stopped at this fishing 'village' in Mumbai. This is where the Terrorists landed in November 2008.

Sang and Bobby on Chowpatti beach during the day. Dead now, but a horrible smell and garbage everywhere.

The leftovers of the ring toss from last night.

This monkey could use a little trimming.

Penguin garbage cans all over the park.

Me, Sang, and Bobby in the park.

Me with the giraffe.

And of course we need an elephant with rider. Somehow I got birds in this shot too.

Me overlooking a small piece of Mumbai and Chowpatti beach.

Here's a stop at Gandhi's house.

The house from outside.

A bust of gandhi.

Sang in Gandhi's house.

Most cars have a bumper sticker that says horn please because they have no mirrors so they want to know when someone is coming up behind. Needless to say, the honking never ever stops.

A nicer Indian meal. Actually we didn't really enjoy most of the food we had on this trip.

Everytime Zubin tried to talk to the waiter in Hindi the waiter would respond in ENglish since he didn't understand a word Zubin sai.

A popular bar and restaurant near the hotel. I believe 27 people were killed by the terrorists here. The walls are still riddled with bullet holes.

Zubin pointing out a bullet hole. The place was always packed despite it's history.

An interesting shop.

Our boat ride to Elephanta Island.

The crew.

That's the boats gas tank. Yes it really is. We watched the gas slowly run down on our trip.

Incredible India. Don't you love the dual pricing. Reminds me of Thailand.

A cow relaxing on one gross beach.

You could ride one of these up the steps to the temples on Elephanta Island.

It would be nice to be treated like a Maharaja, but there's not very many steps in the first place. 120, I believe.

One of the Elephanta caves.

Inside the cave temple.

Here's Bobby.

Me, Bobby, and Sang.

And then for some reason a group of Indians wanted to join us in our photo...

Another cave.

Big boat on the ride back.

Here's the Taj, The Gateway of India, then our hotel all in a row.

A street begger trying to get some money out of Sang.

They even have tuk tuks here.

Sugarcane juice vendor.

A little bit of the Mumbai skyline.

Us hanging out in a bar.

In the slowest shake restaurant ever. I was starting to get pretty sick.

Zubin and Kaynaz showing off their rings.

From Zubin's much nicer hotel, here's the landing spot where the terrorists landed in November 2008. (I had another photo of this earlier in the set)

Zubin and Kaynaz with Mumbai behind them.

All of us hanging out in the bar.

The wedding reception.

Feeding the bride.

Feeding the groom.

Zubin must have said something stupid.

The wedding reception.

After the reception I was now really sick.

This is the (now abandoned) hotel I stayed at my first time in Mumbai (2004).

Right around the corner from where we stayed this time.

A random beach in Mumbai.
