Sorry, but durian's don't ship well and it would be illegal to import them into the US without a license. Check your local Asian markets.

Well, thanks a lot for the complements! I really do enjoy trying just about everything and just when you get to what seems to be the weirdest thing yet you end up finding something else to try which is just as interesting as the first. This blog has taken a lot of time to put together and it sort of comes in bursts, but trust me, there are plenty more foods out there waiting to be written about and I already have a pretty large backlog of stuff to get up here. Thanks for stopping by!

Joe, I am a friend of you parents. I have a passion for food but your passion is beyond my ability to even touch the realm of foods that you have eaten,Truely amazing! The amount of time and effort you have put into this is amazing.I really think this talent and your passion is something that can lead you into some type and form of food jurnalism on a professional level. I thought Zimmerman was good.

Sorry, but I can't help you out there. As I'm sure you know, shipping fruits to the US has many regulations to overcome. Depending on where you are in the US, there is probably an Asian market around. Even in my small city some (lychees and kumquats) of what you are looking for is available. I would look into domestic asian markets and see if they can ship to you. Alternatively, you may be able to get dried fruits shipped from somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

To be honest, I have no idea what kind they are. All I know is that they're crunchy and taste quite fishy (in a good way)!

I've been interested in trying some fried minnows. Ghost minnows look good to me. Do you do any prep or cleaning before frying? Are some minnows better than others. In my area we have Spot Tail, Shinners, Shad and Ghost Minnows.
